SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Crystals & Curiosities Cabin is saying goodbye...

Time. Such an untouchable concept. We always hear about how in the spirit world there is no time because they are living in the moment. With that thought lately I’ve been thinking that time is a relative concept and what we do on a day to day basis I prefer to call “moments of being”. I accomplished what I wanted, to help others, to allow healing from me and from my land, but it’s time, time for change and a new energy, and with that to replenish this space.
We’re closing our doors with love. Although Akashic Ranch will remain working with its other endeavours, the Crystals & Curiosities Cabin will close its doors for the final time at the end of this season. We will also no longer be holding events at Akashic Ranch. We’ve been happy to serve this community for the past 11 years, and we hope we’ve opened your hearts and touched your lives in some small way.

The Crystals & Curiosities Cabin will be available for private visits by appointment until October 31st, at which time we will close our doors.

Marianne involved in a new upcoming Canadian TV series which is also being filmed on the Serendipity property at Akashic Ranch. 2024

Boomerangst is a one-of-a-kind television series that explores the intersection of comedy, relationships, and environmental conservation through the lens of Indigenous values. Set against the stunning natural backdrop of Kamloops, British Columbia, Boomerangst follows a group of residents entangled in very real and polarizing conflicts between preserving these beautiful lands for future generations and resource extraction. As the series unfolds, the characters navigate the challenges of love, friendship, and life—much like the ensemble cast of FRIENDS—while battling the environmental threats that loom over their land, much like the powerful environmental themes of YELLOWSTONE.

Inspired by Indigenous Wisdom and Cultural Perspectives, at its core, Boomerangst draws from the deep-rooted wisdom of Indigenous values, reminding audiences of our connection to the earth and our responsibility to protect it. Through humor and heartfelt moments, the series aims to bring attention to the conservation of species endangered by human activity. Indigenous characters play a central role, offering guidance on sustainability and traditional ecological knowledge while emphasizing the importance of living in harmony with the land.

Created by Mastermind Studios, Boomerangst is the brainchild of Dr. George M. Johnson, Professor of creative writing at Thompson Rivers University. Currently in development, the series is poised to deliver a compelling message wrapped in laughter and drama, offering a fresh take on how we view conservation and community. By mixing humor with hard-hitting environmental issues, Boomerangst is more than just a show—it's a movement to protect the natural world, one laugh at a time.
