The Crystals & Curiosities Cabin

The Crystals & Curiosities Cabin will be open from 10am to 5pm all week by appointment beginning May 1st, 2024. Please phone at least a day in advance if you'd like to stop in and browse our store.
If you have more time we'd also encourage you to make a day of your visit to the cabin with it's beautiful scenic drive, plenty of wildlife to see and landscapes to take in. We suggest coming in pairs or groups to share the experience. Things slow down at the ranch so please stay a while, have a seat by the fire pit and take in the breathtaking view of the countryside. It's not just a store...it's an experience.
All amethyst, purple, pink or black will be 20% off, as well as in stock singing bowls!

Join us for a very special Open House and fine art sale at Akashic Ranch, where we will be featuring the talented John Schnurrenberger, and his original Plein Air paintings of the Kamloops area available for sale! En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”, and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view. Plein air artists capture the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, color and movement into their works.
It's free to attend and The Crystals & Curiosities Cabin will be available for your shopping pleasure from 10am to 5pm both days. John's local paintings will be displayed each day in the beautiful and rustic backdrop of the Akashic Ranch. Bring the family and a picnic and enjoy a magical weekend with us!
About John: Born and raised in Switzerland, John Schnurrenberger grew up with an admiration of the Cowboy Lifestyle and a love of horses. He worked along side other cowboys at some of Canada's largest ranches, gathering material and ideas for future paintings. After a lengthy and rewarding career as a Western Artist, John has devote more of his time to paint various subjects, from capturing the beauty and mystique of the female figure in a series of Drawings and Paintings, to painting "Plein Air" landscapes, miniature oils, as well as some "Commission" paintings. John's plein air landscape paintings will be available to view and purchase at this Akashic Ranch Open House! John will be present both days to show you his work and speak with you of the history of each painting.
